With in a conversation with a nice colleague, I thought about Mark Dacascos, so I decided to talk about him.

Dacascos Mark in the skin of Rahan?

Hero of the first two films of Chistophe Gans, Mark Dacascos would be still the part of the two next films of the producer of: “the Adventurer and Rahan”. Mark Dacascos out of wire of the savage ages?

The idea in any case seems to interest his fetish producer, Christophe Gans, who had directed his first two films, Crying Freeman and The Crow.

In a short interview granted to the magazine Studio, the scenario writer declares thus that “Dacascos Mark will be Rahan; I do not see anybody other for this role.

The film will be entirely in prehistoric dialogues. Iceland would be, in my opinion, a place of ideal shooting “.

Technology and know-how with the service of a large French production Adaptation of the famous comic strip of Roger Lécureux (deceased 3 years ago) and Andre Chéret, Rahan should mix taken of sight a real and synthesized images and will be produced by Eskwad and Xilam animation.

Answering to the wish of the tandem Lécureux/Chéret which had required a program likely to satisfy the fans but also to allure general public, this last company - already at the origin of the animated series Lucky Luke diffused on France 3 made heavy investments of research in order to develop an animation 3d of quality for the new televised series Rahan expected for 2004 on the French screens, and of which 52 26 minutes episodes are currently in preparation.

Efforts which could be only beneficial for future Rahan full-length film… Hitches Christophe Gans was to film in this moment the Adventurer, inspired of the adventures of Bob Morane, character of novel then of comic strip created by Henri Vernes in 1953.

Into this very awaited film, Mark Dacascos , recently with the poster of In deferment, would slip into the skin of the “yellow shadow”, malicious and emblematic of the comic strip opposed to the hero interpreted by Billy Crudup.

Initially envisaged in China, the turning of the Adventurer was stopped because of the epidemic of SARS (see our article), and the production maintains from now on the greatest secrecy on the announced resumption of shooting, the seeking director of the solutions of replacement to turn at the beginning of 2004. The Rahan project would thus be pushed back at 2005, at best.
